After two years of on-line conferences, SafeGreece returned to live events again in Thessaloniki, Greece.
An important number of delegates gathered in the Thessaloniki International Fair "Nikolaos Germanos" Conference Centre from all parts of Greece and from abroad. The Conference was enriched by Dr. Maria Ana Viana-Baptista (ICG NEAMTWS, Chair), Motti Zohar (University of Haifa) Professor Kyriazis Pitilakis (President of the European Association of Earthquake Engineering) and Achilleas Samaras (Democritus University of Thrace, Assistant Professor) as invited speakers, a special session on Standarization and a workshop on FIRE-IN National Hub. The journal “Applied Sciences” of the MDPI Publisher offered an award of 500 CHF for the best oral presentation of the Conference.
SafeThessaloniki 2022 was co-organized by the Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia (Region of Central Macedonia) and the Technical Chamber of Greece / Section of Central Macedonia and supported by the Region of Crete and Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization, with the sponsorship of Satways, DRIC-Defkalion, Marathon Data, Draeger Hellas, Planetek, GetMap, TotalView and GeoHazards, while it brought the auspices of the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection, EPPO, and City of Thessaloniki.
