The 5th International Conference on Civil Protection and New Technologies Safe Kozani 2018 is completed with more than 130 presentations, a series of stakeholders participations from Greece and abroad, open Thematic Round Tables and a series of parallel events.

Being the 5th in the sequence of Conferences on Civil Protection held since 2014 in a different city of Greece each year, as part of the Safe Greece initiative, Safe Kozani 2018 brought together representatives of the local government, the scientific community, research, technology, central administration, private initiative and volunteering, who exchanged experience, know-how, views and ideas on 15 subject-related topics.

Safe Kozani 2018 was organized by the Region of Western Macedonia in collaboration with the University of Western Macedonia, the Western Macedonia University of Applied Sciences and the Fire Academy.
