In 2021, the Conference on Civil Protection and New Technologies was held for the second time online due to the COVID19 pandemic, including 63 oral and 8 poster presentations by representatives of the Local Government, scientific community, research, technology, central government, private initiative and volunteers.
An important number of delegates attended the SafeGreece2021 works from all parts of Greece and from abroad. The Conference was enriched by Dr. Ian Clark (European Commission Joint Research Center) and Professor Fumihiko Imamura (Tohoku University, Japan) as invited speakers and two round Table discussions on current topics that attracted the interest of the delegates.
Safe Greece 2021 was supported by the Region of Crete, Municipality of Eordea, Municipality of Central Corfu, Earthquake Planning and Protection Organization and the scientific journal GeoHazards, with the sponsorship of Satways, Marathon Data, Draeger Hellas, Planetek, GetMap, TotalView, and DRIC-Δευκαλίων, while it brought the auspices of the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection, the Ministry of Climate Change and Civil Protection, EPPO and the General Secretariat of Infrastructure.
