Earhquake and following phenomena

On June 12, 2006, 15:28, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake of 11 km focal depth was recorded by the Geodynamic Institute of Athens in the sea area between Chios and Lesbos islands. The earthquake caused by a 25-kilometer-long northwest-southeast underwater fault, very close to the southern coastline of Lesvos. The vibration became particularly noticeable in Lesvos and Chios, but also in Smyrna and Bursa.
